UKC MD, Ben Hui, shares the secrets of social networking at Redeye Photography Workshop

Redeye, the not-for-profit photography organisation, is hosting a series of career development workshops from October 2012 to February 2013.

They’re aimed at anyone who wants to turn their interest in photography into a business and our MD, Ben Hui, is gearing up to speak at the Wednesday 17 October Marketing & Networking event.

Creative types are often reluctant to blow their own trumpets. But effective marketing is vital if you’re going to succeed, particularly when you think how many other trumpet players are out there.

Fortunately, new technology means there are now more and more ways to reach potential clients, whether it’s Facebook, Twitter or its Chinese equivalent, Weibo. Of course, good, old-fashioned face-to-face networking is still invaluable when it comes to making contacts and building a reputation.

Ben will be exploring all these areas and more when he delivers ‘Physical and Social Networking and Collaborating’ at the Instituto Cervantes in Manchester. Tickets cost £40 for the full day, £30 for concessions or £20 for Redeye members.
