UKC Company (formerly known as Language) has just launched a social media campaign to drive awareness of the Airport City Manchester development to Chinese enterprises looking to invest in the UK.
The campaign will utilise China’s major social media channels Weibo and WeChat to manage communication about the 2014 Airport City Manchester China Roadshow, and to engage with Chinese businesses as the events tour across key cities in China.
UKC are also creating the official 80-page information booklet that will support the programme, delivering both design and Chinese copywriting services during its production. The agency will deploy a number of supporting promotional tactics during the campaign; including the design of VVIP Cards and the creation of a QR code that will link to the Airport City Manchester WeChat account.
UKC was appointed to deliver the campaign by Manchester Airports Group (MAG) and property developers Argent.
Airport City Manchester is an £800m landmark development, which is set to become a globally connected business destination located at Manchester Airport. The 2014 Airport City Manchester China Roadshow will promote the development at four major Chinese cities; Tianjin, Beijing, Shanghai and Shenzhen.
Ben Hui, managing director of UKC Company, said,“As an ethnic Chinese and adopted Mancunian myself, I am immensely proud of being chosen to promote such an exciting project to businesses in China. It’s fair to say that I understand how welcoming Manchester is as a city and what a great place it is to do business in.”
